Go on a tour of the biomass heating demonstration project in Seeley’s Bay, including a demonstration of two hydronic heaters for greenhouse vegetable production, a presentation of the equipment used, and results. Register below for lunch.
Biomass as a solid biofuel for space heating and domestic hot water is a viable environmental and economic option. Emissions field-testing has been carried out for heating a small greenhouse at Forman Farms. Scientists from the University of Guelph have been monitoring combustion emissions and thermal performance for various shape and size of solid biofuels.
