OSCIA Members
Our dedicated membership of over 5,000 represents virtually all commodity groups and has a significant presence in all major agricultural areas. Members bring their ideas to the local associations for discussion.
Local Associations
Membership through 55 local associations represents a credible, active grassroots voice, devoted to communicating and facilitating responsible, economic management of soil, water, air and crops. Local associations meet to handle the local activities of their membership and provide their concerns to the provincial body.
Regional Associations
Eleven region associations formed in 1999, represent clusters of local associations throughout the province. Regional associations conduct on-farm demonstrations and trials collectively with their local associations to provide a broad base for sharing information and resources.
Provincial Directors
There are eleven provincial directors , each representing the voices of several local associations within their home area. Each provincial director attends meetings several times per year to bring their members’ ideas and concerns together.
Provincial Executive
The five provincial executive members are elected at the OSCIA annual meeting. This group of members are provincial directors who serve on the executive for an elected term. They handle the business of the association, and hold monthly meetings.
Staff Resources
OSCIA staff located in Guelph serve the needs of the association and program delivery. Approximately 150 part-time field staff are in place to handle program delivery, reporting through the provincial office.
