Ontario Evaluation of Bio-Diesel On-Farm (2005 - March 2007)
Biotractor: On-Farm Evaluation of Biodiesel Use in Agricultural Equipment final report
May 2009(1.908 mb) The evaluation of Biodiesel on-farm project is funded by Natural Resources Canada, and is a demonstration project for six cooperator across Ontario to trial the use of 5% biodiesel in one of their farm tractor for a year of normal farm duty. This program is coordinated regionally through the Regional Communication Coordinators.
Environment Canada has taken emission measurements on farm this summer, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has evaluated biodiesel fuel efficiency and consumption compared to regular dyed diesel. A final report will be prepared March 2007.
