Agriculture land in wetlands and riparian zones; Economic and Greenhouse Gas implications (2005-2008)
This project is funded jointly by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada and Ducks Unlimited Canada, and coordinated by the Soil Conservation Council of Canada. The project is designed to better understand the environmental and economic value of wetlands and riparian zones in agriculture fields. Greenhouse gas emissions are measured from three landscape positions, crop, headland, and march/wetland to determine the emission estimates from the landscape positions. The project is located on two farms near Guelph, one in Elora, and the second Freelton.
