What is the Soil Health Check-Up?
In partnership with Ontario’s Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs), the Soil Health Check-Up facilitates an assessment of on-farm soil health and water quality.
Three key fields on your farm will be assessed to establish both baseline soil health levels, and target levels.
The Soil Health Check-Up provides farmers with a unique opportunity to work with a CCA free of charge.
To be eligible for the Soil Health Improvement Program you must complete a Soil Health Check-Up with an eligible Certified Crop Advisor.
Only CCAs participating in the program are eligible to deliver the Check-Up, if you know a CCA who may be interested, direct them to contact SHIP for more information.
