As the summer fades away, and we look ahead to the harvest in front of us, I think most farmers in Bruce County are very optimistic in the yields we might be looking at. The soybeans and corn look excellent with some very high yield potential, despite how dry the season started out.

We are already starting to see some soybeans change colour and drop a few leaves, which will allow for some early harvests and hopefully get the winter wheat and cover crops in the ground and off to a great start.

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy fall.
