Hosted by Ontario Woodlot Association (Quinte and Limestone chapters) and Hastings Stewardship Council. Keynote Speakers include Sebastian Belliard, Soil Specialist with OMAFRA: What’s Under the Leaf Litter. Thom Snowman, Professional Forester: The Inclusive Forest: Wetlands, Water, Wood and Wildlife. AND Joseph Reid with City of Belleville: Beavers: Struggles with Co-existence. Ian Fife with Bird Studies Canada: Technology in the Woodlot: Creating Your Biodiversity Inventory. Todd Fritzley with BPF Safety & Consulting: Chainsaw Safety Basics.
Afternoon Field Tour – Forest Vigour: Things to Look for in Your Woodlot. Lunch: Locally sourced food and zero waste format. Admission is $40 (includes lunch). For OWA members = $35. RSVP by November 15 (to ensure your spot at the lunch table)
