Patricia Stacey, our Prince Edward Count SCIA secretary is part of the committee that founded the Emily Project to have civic addressing applied to vacant farm land and wood lots for emergency services. The committee would like to encourage farmland owners to mark as many access points as possible with signs. The additional signs would aid emergency services in finding the correct location in a timely manner. The addition of these signs could aid in the saving of lives and property. This initiative is also very helpful for custom operators to find the fields.
To find out more about the project and how to get your sign, visit their website http://www.farm911.ca

PEC has an online form that can be filled out https://www.thecounty.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Farm-911-Application.pdf
For those of us outside PEC, we should encourage the option of an online form to our municipalities
