As in most areas, in Lambton we are experiencing another challenging fall with all the rain we have received. At the time of writing this, there are still some farmers struggling to finish soybean harvest and dealing with wet soybeans. Corn harvest is finally getting off the ground. Fall tillage has been non-existent, but it is looking like we will finally have a good stretch of weather.
Lambton Soil and Crop Improvement Association is currently planning our annual meeting which will be held Friday, January 14th at the Alvinston arena.
Topics include the following:
- Grain market outlook
- Autonomous equipment applications in agriculture
- Fertilizer market outlook
- Tar spot and other diseases to watch out for in 2022
Everyone have a safe harvest and hope to see you at our annual meeting in January.
All the Best,
Jeff Sawyer, President LSCIA
