Through the Living Lab–Ontario Greenhouse Gas Emissions on Dairy Farms project, farmers and scientists are working together to measure and reduce the climate impact of dairy production. Using advanced monitoring at a commercial “supersite” farm, researchers track greenhouse gas emissions from the crops that feed dairy herds and test practices like enhanced-efficiency fertilizers. The goal: practical, data-driven solutions that help dairy farmers improve nutrient management, reduce emissions, and build a more sustainable future for milk production.
