OSCIA’s new Executive Director, Kerry Wright brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the agriculture and agri-food industries. Her professional background spans not-for-profit leadership and executive management at organizations across Canada such as the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association, the Canadian Agri-food Automation & Intelligence Network (CAAIN) and Mallot Creek Group where she provided strategic advice to the food, beverage and agri-food industries.
Kerry grew up Southwestern Ontario, surrounded by a farming community which she attributes shaping her ideals including the fundamental importance of family, community, and hard work. Kerry is committed to advancing the newly-refreshed Strategic Plan that envisions supporting soil health as the foundation for nourishing communities and driving a vibrant economy. Kerry is eager to work with the OSCIA staff, the Leadership Council and the Board of Directors to empower farmers with knowledge, innovative programs and peer networks so Farmers can implement sustainable, profitable practices that benefits farms today and ensure long-term resilience for generations to come.
